Blackened Halibut Tacos

Halibut is an incredibly healthy fish with a great deal of protein, Omega 3 fatty acids, niacin, magnesium, and the very powerful antioxidant selenium. Despite knowing all this, I still have a difficult time getting enough fish into my diet. It's not that I don't enjoy eating fish, it's just that I don't necessarily crave it.

Unless I make it with this recipe.

Making blackened halibut (or any blackened fish) is surprisingly easy and incredibly tasty.

What you need:

2-3 halibut filets (we order our fish online from here )

1 TSP Onion Powder

1TSP Black Pepper

1 TSP Cumin

1/2 TSP Cayenne Pepper (more or less to taste)

1 TSP Garlic Powder

Mix seasonings together in a small dish.

Coat Halibut filets in light amount of olive oil and cover filets with seasonings

Cook filets for approximately four minutes per side or until done.

Spread Halibut on tortillas and garnish to taste. We prefer to use homemade pico de gallo (recipe next week!)
